Burwell residential

16th January 2019
Year 5 started the term with 2 nights at Burwell on their residential and, despite the chilly weather, came back really positive about the experience. They worked on their Geography skills; map reading, playing Burwell Fox, Snail Game and also turned detective. The children also got scientific whilst making keyrings and parachuting eggs - sounds messy! Teamwork played a big part in the trip and they rose to the challenge. Apparently the food was a big hit, particularly the breakfasts and potato wedges (they even wrote a song about them.) For some children it was their first time away from home overnight and for others, the lack of sleep was clearly a highlight. By the look of the tired bodies getting off the coach, staff especially, there will have been some very quiet homes on Wednesday night.
